Entry fees,divisions,rules.

Entry fee per person to participate in one or two divisions:
 $10 preteens/juniors
 $20 Youth and College Students with ID
 $25 Adults
Every additional division will incur $10 per couple but couples may not dance below their level.

The deadline to cancel all registrations with a 100% refund is the September 12th payment deadline.
Collegiate teams, dance clubs or dance studio teams: please submit one check per team, clearly indicating which competitors you are paying for.

Syllabus will be invigilated.

Competitors may enter the lowest proficiency level for which both partners are eligible, as well as the next higher level. Competitors may not compete in a level below the minimum proficiency level for which they are eligible. Competitors may compete in any age category* for which they are eligible. Pre Teen, Junior and Youth couples may compete in the next higher age category. Age is determined by birth year, i.e. an individual who was born August 1, 1983 would be considered to be 20 years old for this competition.

Syllabus steps may be from NDCA or ISTD syllabi or other published syllabus such as Fred Astaire or Arthur Murray.  All events will be strictly invigilated.
All competitors must check in with the registrar. The "on deck" system will be used for all events. Competitors must be in the ballroom, ready to dance 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time for the event in which they are competing and report to the deck captain. Any competitor who does not take the floor when their event is called by the MC will face disqualification from that event.


USABDA Rules.

3.8. DRESS CODE
Unless otherwise specified by the Competition Organizer the dress code for amateur competitions shall be:
3.8.1. PRE-TEENS:
3.8.1.1. All dance styles and proficiency categories
a) Boys in dark pants, white shirt and optional tie.
b) Girls in leotards and wrap-around skirts or party/cocktail dresses with no rhinestones.
3.8.2. JUNIORS AND YOUTHS:
3.8.2.1. Syllabus - Standard and Smooth Divisions
a) Boys in dark pants, white shirt and tie, with jacket or tuxedo optional.
b) Girls in party or cocktail dresses.
3.8.2.2. Syllabus - Latin and Rhythm Divisions
a) Boys in dark pants, white shirt and optional tie.
b) Girls in leotards and wrap-around skirts or party/cocktail dresses with no rhinestones.
3.8.2.3. Novice - All Divisions
a) May be either Syllabus dress or Championship dress as specified by the Competition Organizer.
b) If no dress requirements are specified, Championship dress is permitted.
3.8.2.4. Pre-Championship and Championship - Standard and Smooth Divisions
a) Boys - Tail suits, tuxedos or dark suits permitted.
b) Girls - Ballgowns or cocktail dresses permitted.
3.8.2.5. Pre-Championship and Championship - Latin and Rhythm Divisions
a) Boys - Latin costumes permitted.
b) Girls - Latin costumes permitted.
3.8.3. ADULTS AND SENIORS:
3.8.3.1. Syllabus - Standard and Smooth Divisions
a) Men in dress pants, plain shirt and tie, or tuxedo. No tail suits.
b) Ladies in cocktail dresses without excessive adornment. No Ballgowns.
3.8.3.2. Syllabus - Latin and Rhythm Divisions
a) Men in dark dress pants, plain or ruffled shirt and dark tie, and/or vest optional.
b) Ladies in leotards and wrap-around skirts or party/cocktail dresses.
3.8.3.3. Novice - All Divisions
a) May be either Syllabus dress or Championship dress as specified by the Competition Organizer.
b) If no dress requirements are specified, Championship dress is permitted.
3.8.3.4. Pre-Championship and Championship - Standard Divisions
a) Men in tail suits, ladies in ballgowns.
3.8.3.5. Pre-Championship and Championship - Smooth Divisions
a) Men in tail suits, vest, or championship dress; ladies in ballgowns.
3.8.3.6. Pre-Championship and Championship - Latin and Rhythm Divisions
a) Men and Ladies in Latin costumes.
